Early Puppy Program
Starting 12 weeks - 5 months
Puppies will get exposure to dead birds, live birds, water, and gunfire. The exposure to these things at a young age will set the puppy up for success in the future,
Basic Gun Dog
Teaches your dogs the basics of retriever training. Includes obedience, as well as force fetching (forcing hold and fetch commands). Your dog will be introduced to gunshots, decoys, duck calls, blinds, and 4-wheelers during this time while being highly socialized around other dogs.
Time Frame: 6 Month Minimum
Includes:
Basic Obedience, Force Fetching/Hold, Steadiness to Gunshot, Whistle Commands, Basic Handling Drills, Bird to Hand, Single Land and Water Marks, Exposure to Birds (live, dead, and dummies), and Collar Conditioning
Advanced Gun Dog
Furthering you retriever's skills. All dogs must have completed our basic gun dog program or demonstrate the appropriate skill proficiency. You can expect your dog to complete complex blind retrieves as well as multiple marks.
Time Frame: An additional 3-5 month program after basic gun dog program has been completed.
Includes:
Multiple Blinds, Triple/ Quadruple Marks on Land and Water, Marks combined with Blinds, Navigation of Multiple Terrains, Poison and Diversion Birds, and Runoff Dog stands, boats, and dog blinds
Hunt Test Training
HRC and AKC hunting retrieving training available. The training does not change but the letters before and after their name do!
